Audit Trail - since users must log into the desktop client where a new fax message is created, an audit trail of who sent what to whom and when is maintained. The full image of the message is stored on the server and can also be archived into a network location. Ideal for compliance.
Searching - since the faxed document is stored on the server, there is the ability to search and retrieve it.
Ability to send fax to multiple recipients - users can send faxes to multiple recipients without having to recreate the content.
Cover Pages - can be customized per user or recipient, allowing for features such as barcode routing.
Compliance/Security - fax server technology is inherently HIPAA compliant, because inbound messages can only be viewed by logged in clients. Outbound fax messages can only be sent by users that are logged in to comply with enhanced security requirements.
